WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. — Wappingers Falls resident Janet Marie Laurenzano died Monday, May 16. She was 37.
A Yonkers native, Laurenzano grew up in Putnam Valley and graduated from Walter Panas High School before earning her BSN from Hartwick College in 2000.
After graduation, she worked as a registered nurse for Westchester Medical Center and most recently at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital.
On May 29, 2004, at St. Columba Church, she married Anthony Laurenzano.
Laurenzano is survived by her husband, Anthony; her children, Briana, Anthony and Ashley; her mother, Linda Guardino Taffner; her siblings and their spouses, Matthew Taffner and his wife, Andrea, Beth Mazzola and her husband, John, and Ronald and Christopher Taffner; her nieces and nephews, Tristan, Lucas, Ryan, Emma and Savannah; mother-in-law, Teresa Chilbert; her grandparents, Anthony and Angela Guardino; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Laurenzano was predeceased by her father, Clifford Taffner.
Friends may call Thursday, May 19, from 7-9 p.m. at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main St., Fishkill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of St. Martin de Porres, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, on Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m.
Friends are asked to meet the family at church on Friday morning.
Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction.
